The National Safe Boating Council (NSBC) announces that they will be part of a worldwide charitable call to action known as #GivingTuesday on Tuesday December 2, 2014.

#GivingTuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. Last year, more than 10,000 organizations in 46 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday.

This year, on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, the NSBC will be part of the #GivingTuesday call to action pledging that all donations given to the National Safe Boating Council on December 2 will be put back into our programs to promote safer recreational boating. These programs include on-water training, educating boaters about the importance of navigation rules, and helping boaters understand why it’s important to wear a life jacket at all times while boating through our Wear It! message.

The NSBC exists to make recreational boating safer and more enjoyable, and to reduce the number of fatalities on the water. With your support, you’d help the NSBC promote a safer recreational boating experience through education, outreach, and training. Help us continue saving lives and preventing fatal recreational boating accidents from occurring; your generosity plays a big part in our ability to make a difference in people’s lives.

Each time NSBC receives a donation they will recognize the donor on www.facebook.com/NationalSafeBoatingCouncil and on Twitter @SafeBoatCouncil with #GivingTuesday. For questions, contact ymoslehian@safeboatingcouncil.org
